"A perfect vacuum with a gaseous pressure of absolute zero is a philosophical concept that is never observed in practice."
Absolute emptiness, absolute zero, the cosmological "nothing": impossible to observe as it does not exist. Philosophically a mind-blower, for sure. But consider this: the experiment proving that maggots do not appear spontaneously is by definition flawed. Since the absence of everything cannot be attained, the environment in which maggots did not appear on meat was simply one of an infinite number of possible environments in which maggots do not "ex nihilo" appear on meat. But conversely, there must be an infinite number of environments in which they do. Anything is possible, material objects can appear and disappear at will (whether they are in a box with Schrodinger's cat, or not). Which is how I am going to explain a whole range of phenomena from disappearing socks, checkbooks and cookies (you are off the hook, kids) and the appearance of grey hair, car dents - oh: and fruit flies.
